E. Hunter Harrison
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Harrison was named chief executive officer of CSX in spring 2017 after successfully leading the turnaround of three major railroads over the last 25 years through his Precision Scheduled Railroading model. Mr. Harrison served as the president and chief executive officer of Canadian Pacific Railway Limited and Canadian Pacific Railway Company from 2012 until 2017.
Prior to leading Canadian Pacific, Mr. Harrison served as president and chief executive officer at Canadian National Railway Company from 2003-2009 and as the executive vice president and chief operating officer from 1998-2002. Mr. Harrison also draws upon experience from Illinois Central Corporation, Illinois Central Rail Road Company, and Burlington Northern.
Fredrik J. Eliasson
Executive Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer
Mr. Eliasson is executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer. In this capacity, he directs all customer-facing aspects of the company’s business, including market growth, forecasting business trends, and development of strategic plans for revenue growth.
Previously, Eliasson was executive vice president and chief financial officer. In that role since 2012, he was responsible for all financial and economic analysis, strategic planning, enterprise risk management and insurance, as well as accounting, tax, treasury and investor relations activities. He was named chief sales and marketing officer in September 2015.
Frank A. Lonegro
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lonegro was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer in September 2015. He directs all financial aspects of the company’s business, including financial and economic analysis, strategic planning, as well as accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations and purchasing activities.
Prior to being named chief financial officer, Lonegro was vice president of service design, where he led work to integrate operational capabilities with customer and market needs. In his more than 15 years with CSX, Mr. Lonegro has served in leadership roles that included technology, mechanical and internal audit.
Cindy M. Sanborn
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Sanborn was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer in September 2015, following her appointment as executive vice president-operations in February of the same year. She brings more than 25 years of operations experience and is responsible for all transportation, mechanical and engineering functions that combine to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective service.
Under Ms. Sanborn’s leadership, CSX has produced significant advancements in safety, customer service and productivity. Her career also includes other key senior leadership roles in operations. Prior to becoming chief transportation officer, she served as the company’s vice president of operations for the northern region. In addition, she has held various leadership roles in network operations, locomotive management, and division operations. Ms. Sanborn joined CSX in 1987.
Mark K. Wallace
Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Chief of Staff
Mr. Wallace joined CSX as executive vice president of corporate affairs and chief of staff to the CEO in spring 2017. In this role Mr. Wallace is responsible for information technology, corporate communications, and the real estate and facilities functions as well as the office of the president and chief executive officer.
Prior to joining CSX, he served as the vice president of corporate affairs and chief of staff at Canadian Pacific Railway Limited, a role he was appointed to in July 2012. While at Canadian Pacific, Mr. Wallace was responsible for the law department, corporate communications and public affairs, investor relations, facilities and real estate functions as well as overseeing the efficient operations within the president and chief executive officer’s office.
Prior to his time at Canadian Pacific, Mr. Wallace spent more than 15 years in various senior management positions with Canadian National Railway Company. At CN, he led the public affairs function in both Canada and the U.S., and prior to that, he was the chief of staff in the office of the president and chief executive officer.
Ellen M. Fitzsimmons
Executive Vice President of Law and Public Affairs, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Ms. Fitzsimmons is executive vice president of law and public affairs, general counsel and corporate secretary of CSX Corporation. In this role she directs the company’s legal affairs, government relations, security, environmental, and audit functions.
Ms. Fitzsimmons joined CSX in 1991 and was named corporate general counsel in 1997. She assumed her current role in 2003, which includes responsibility for all legal and public-facing matters at CSX. In this role, Ms. Fitzsimmons has focused on maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance and pursuing reform of the civil justice system.
