Senior Vice President of Network Operations
Jamie Boychuk is Senior Vice President of Network Operations. He has oversight of Mechanical, Engineering and Intermodal, as well as centrally managed network functions including dispatching, rail asset planning and related activities to ensure we optimize our assets to support efficient system-wide operations.
Previously, Boychuk was Vice President of Precision Scheduled Railroading Implementation and Intermodal Operations, responsible for ensuring the proper execution of scheduled railroading across the CSX network and the integration of intermodal operations with the railroad operating plan. Prior to joining CSX in 2017, Boychuk spent 20 years at Canadian National Railway (CN). He served as a General Manager of the Alberta and Prairie Sub-regions, ensuring safe and cost efficient yard and train performance were delivered according to the company’s operational plan and customer expectations.
Boychuk began his career at CN working as conductor, yardmaster and locomotive engineer, and he was quickly promoted to managerial positions of increased responsibility located in Western Canada, Eastern Canada and the U.S.
His guidance allowed for increased efficiencies in terminal and line operations in key locations within the United States and Canada, growing operating capacities by 20%, improving safety and developing relationships with key government agencies.
Among his most notable accomplishments was winning the President’s Awards in 2014 and 2016 for Asset Utilization and Terminal of the Year.
Boychuk holds a business and leadership certificate from the University of Notre Dame.
