Alex Saar Named a 2024 Young Leader by International Rail Journal

January 3, 2025 - Alex Saar, CSX’s Director of Corridor Services, has been named to the International Rail Journal 2024 Young Leaders list. This recognition highlights Saar’s outstanding contributions to the rail industry and his innovative leadership in advancing critical infrastructure projects.

With over 15 years of experience, Saar leads a team of engineers and specialists managing more than 3,000 utility permits annually across CSX’s 20,000-mile network. Under his direction, the Corridor Services team helps CSX ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency for utility integrations, emergency responses, and capital improvement projects in 26 states.

“With his expertise in resolving complex utility conflicts and minimizing disruptions, Saar has built a reputation as a forward-thinking problem solver,” said Saar’s supervisor, Christina Bottomley, CSX Vice President of Business Development and Real Estate. “His leadership extends beyond project execution.
