Social Activities Report By Glyn Bailey
Your Social Activities Committee is hard at work on activities for 2012. Listed below is what we have finalized so far. Other activities are in the works and you will hear more about them later.
Dinner at Friendly Farm, Upperco, Maryland, May 15th - Tuesday - 4:30 PM. Great food and we always hang around and talk after dinner.
RABO Luncheon Meeting at the B&O Railroad Museum. July 25th - Wednesday - 11:00 AM. This has the best-attended RABO meeting in each the past several years. There will be a buffet lunch, open bar and free admission to the Museum for RABO members and their families, including children and grandchildren. The Museum attractions include: exhibits, the roundhouse displays, a train ride over the first B&O line, guided tours of the Museum including the Civil War exhibit and indoor and outdoor model railroad layouts. And this year there is a new feature: a train ride to the Mt Clare Mansion House and a guided tour of that Museum, the former home of Charles Carroll, the Barrister.
The cost for all of this is just the regular RABO Luncheon charge of $17.00; children 12 and under are free.
Sign-up forms will be available at RABO meetings prior to these activities. You may also contact Glyn Bailey at 410-769-8049 or E-Mail: rdglbailey@aol.com to sign up.
Come join us for both of these wonderful outings.
