Q. How do I apply for a job?
A. Applications must be submitted online.

  1. Click on the “Working at CSX” tab
  2. Click on Search Job Openings and Apply Now 
  3. Click “Apply” under a position you are interested in
  4. Click “Continue” after accepting the Privacy Agreement
  5. Log-in using your username and password
    OR Click the “New User” button to register as a new user

Q. How do I submit a resume?
A. Applications and resumes are accepted through our online tool only.

  1. Click on the “Careers” tab
  2. Click on Search Job Openings and Apply Now
  3. Click on the “Sign In” link
  4. Click “Continue” after accepting the Privacy Agreement
    OR Click the “New User” button to register as a new user

Q. My username and/or password is not recognized when I try to register as a new user.
A. Usernames and passwords cannot contain spaces. Passwords must be between 6 - 32 characters and contain at least 1 letter and 1 number, and must not contain your username.

Q. How do I reset my password?
A. Click the “forgot password” link to reset your password. You will receive a temporary access code by e-mail. Copy and paste this code in the password field and you will be prompted to create a new one.  The code is case sensitive and may not be recognized if you type it in.

Q. I am trying to apply for a position and my account is locked. How do I get my account unlocked?
A. Your account will unlock after 15 minutes.  Please try again after this timeframe.  If you are having problems signing in, click the “forgot password” link to reset your password. You will receive a temporary access code in email. Copy and paste this code in the password field and you will be prompted to create a new one. The code is case sensitive and may not be recognized if you type it in.

Q. I do not see positions in my city/state. How can I apply for a job?
A. Positions are posted on our website as they become available.  If you do not see positions posted, we do not have any current openings. Applications are accepted for open positions only.

Q. How can I be contacted when positions become available?
A. You can create a ‘job agent’ in your profile to notify you via email when positions become available. Check the box next to “I would like to receive information when a new position matching my profile is posted” to receive an email notification.

Q. How can I check the status of my application?
A. Check your application status by logging into the Search Job Openings and Apply Now tool. Click on the “MyJobpage” tab.  Due to the high volume of applications we receive, if you are selected for an interview, we will contact you via the e-mail address you have on file.  Please keep your e-mail address up to date.
