Every day my colleagues and I have the privilege of doing something great—moving freight that is essential to American businesses and communities. What is gratifying about this is not that we’ve been doing it for more than 180 years--although that is pretty special in and of itself; but right now, CSX is providing more transportation solutions and creating more value for customers and shareholders than at any time in our history. It is an important part of how we fulfill our promise of leading the way in how tomorrow moves. But it’s not the only part.
