CSX Corporation Donates $75,000 to American Red Cross for Isaac Preparations
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – August 27, 2012 – In advance of the projected Gulf Coast landfall of Tropical Storm Isaac, CSX Corporation has made a $75,000 contribution to the American Red Cross to use where there is the greatest need in this or future storms.
“While the exact track of the storm remains uncertain, what is certain is that the American Red Cross and other relief organizations are preparing now and need resources,” said Michael J. Ward, CSX chairman, president and chief executive officer. “As the employees of CSX prepare our transportation network for Isaac, we wish to help our communities through the vital efforts of the American Red Cross.”
