Site Background: The Chinook megasite is composed of approximately 2,000 acres of undisturbed farmland and woodland along with approximately 5,000 acres of reclaimed strip mine land. The site is located 70 miles west of Indianapolis with visibility from I-70. It can be served by the Indiana Rail Road.

Location 8 miles east of Terre Haute, Indiana within unincorporated areas of Vigo and Clay counties
Highway Access I-70 runs parallel to the north and Indiana
Commercial Air Access Terre Haute International Airport-Hulman Field is located 3 miles northwest
Water Indiana American Water Company
Sewer City of Terre Haute Wastewater Utility
Natural Gas Vectren Energy Delivery
Electricity Duke Energy and Utilities District of Western Indiana
