Site Background: The Bay Minette megasite is located adjacent to I-65, the main north-south interstate in Alabama connecting Mobile north to the Tennessee line. Bay Minette is only 35 miles north of the Alabama State Docks Port Authority which is on the Gulf and located in the metropolitan Mobile area. Additional access to I-20, the major east-west interstate, is less than 25 miles south. The Mobile Regional Airport is less than 45 miles southwest of this site.
