We appreciate the work our employees do for the company and in our communities, and we honor their spirit of service. We are fortunate to have a highly skilled and motivated workforce, and our business success is built on this foundation. Our people have a great deal to offer outside of their daily work roles, and many of them welcome the opportunity to use their knowledge and expertise to benefit their local communities.

We recognize the value of employee volunteering and the difference our people can make. We are committed to supporting employees in these volunteer activities and helping them to realize personal ambitions while making a positive contribution to society.

Employee Volunteerism

CSX takes great pride in the work that its employees do in their communities. From helping kids learn to read, to rebuilding local parks and community centers, the people of CSX really do make a difference. We have a web-based matching system that lets employees learn about volunteer opportunities and allows them to track the time they have donated, so the company can recognize the personal time they have committed to helping others. Dollars for Doers

This program provides funding to eligible community organizations and schools where CSX employees are active volunteers. Dollars for Doers is CSX's way of supporting essential services in the communities where our employees live and work. For every hour an employee volunteers at an eligible non-profit organization, CSX will donate $10 to an eligible 501(c)(3) organization of the employee's choice. Employees must volunteer at least 15 hours, and can receive a Dollars for Doers contribution for up to 40 hours of volunteer work per year – for a total contribution of as much as $400 per year.
