CSXDirectInvestsm (the "Plan") makes it easy to invest in CSX stock. This Plan is designed to provide you with the convenience and value of direct stock purchases in addition to the features listed below. The Plan is administered by BNY Mellon Shareowner Services.
- Low Minimum Initial Investment
The minimum initial investment is $500, plus an initial $10 enrollment fee charged for individuals who do not already own shares of CSX stock. If you already own CSX shares, you can enroll them in the Plan without any minimum investment requirements or fees. - Optional Cash Investments
Additional investments in CSX shares can be made at any time with as little as $50 by mailing a check or money order to BNY Mellon Shareowner Services. The maximum monthly investment is $10,000. - Automatic Monthly Investment
You can choose to make your additional investments systematically by authorizing BNY Mellon Shareowner Services to deduct automatically as little as $50 or up to $10,000 from your bank account each month. This automatic monthly investment feature is a convenient and economical way to build your investment. - Automatic Dividend Reinvestment
At your option, dividends on some or all of your CSX shares enrolled in the Plan may automatically be reinvested in CSX shares. - No Brokerage Commissions for Purchases
You will pay no brokerage commissions or other fees when you buy shares through the Plan. You will be charged a modest transaction fee and brokerage commission when shares are sold through the Plan. - Simple Plan Transactions
All transactions can be handled by mail, and Plan account information can be obtained by phone. - Easy Tracking of Your Investment
Each time you invest you will receive a statement showing the status of your account. Each statement includes a convenient tear-off form that will allow you to make additional investments, sales or withdrawals. - "Certificateless" Holdings
As an added benefit and at your option, if you already own CSX shares and hold the certificates, you can send them to BNY Mellon Shareowner Services and your certificates will be held in "book entry" form in the Plan at no cost. You won't have to worry about your stock certificates being misplaced or stolen, or wonder where they are when you want your shares. Additional share purchases will be automatically held in book entry form unless you specifically request certificates from BNY Mellon Shareowner Services. - Additional Benefits
As a Plan participant, you have all the rights and privileges that any CSX shareholder enjoys, including discounts for stays at The Greenbrier® Resort Hotel.
