Can I purchase shares regularly through an automatic withdrawal?
|
Yes. The Plan provides for an automatic debit to a checking or savings account. You need to complete the back portion of the enrollment form to initiate automatic withdrawals.
No fee is charged for automatic withdrawals from bank accounts.
Note: Your first cash contribution must be by check or money order. Subsequent contributions may be by automatic withdrawal once the form is completed and returned.

Can I sell my shares over the phone?
|
|
You cannot sell your shares over the phone. You must complete one of the sale/withdrawal forms provided with your statement which will direct BNY Mellon Shareowner Services to sell all or a portion of your shares. You may, however, obtain information about your account over the phone.

Can I transfer or gift shares to others without having a certificate(s) issued?
|
Yes. Provide BNY Mellon Shareowner Services with the normal transfer instructions including a Medallion signature guarantee for physical certificates being transferred.
No fee is charged for the share/gift transfer service.

A participant can deposit shares into their Plan account by forwarding their certificates to BNY Mellon Shareowner Services. We recommend you mail shares by registered mail insured.

How often are shares purchased?
|
|
Shares are purchased on a weekly basis. Generally, funds received by Thursday will be invested on the first business day of the following week.

How often can I sell my shares? Do I have to sell all my shares? Does the Plan allow for partial sales?
|
You have full control of your shares and you can sell all or a portion of them at any time using the sale/withdrawal authorization form attached to your statement. You must sell whole shares unless you are closing your account. Sale orders are generally processed on the first business day of each week.
A $10 service charge plus a $0.15 per share brokerage commission will apply to sales.

How often can I send in a check for optional cash contributions?
|
You can send in a check as often as you like, subject to the $50 minimum, $10,000 maximum monthly parameters. Purchases are processed on a weekly basis, generally the first business day of the week, but in no event later than five business days after the cash contributions are received.
No fee is charged for share purchases.

What are the minimum and maximum amounts I can send in?
|
The minimum initial investment is $500 plus a $10 one-time initial enrollment fee (provided you are not currently holding shares in your name).
Subsequent investments must be a minimum of $50, with a maximum amount of $10,000 monthly.

What type of Plan is this? How do I enroll?
|
CSXDirectInvestsm is a direct stock purchase and dividend reinvestment plan. You do not have to be a shareholder to join the Plan.
- If you are a current shareholder, please call BNY Mellon Shareowner Services at 1-800-521-5571. BNY Mellon Shareowner Services will generate an enrollment form with your current account information and mail it along with the prospectus immediately.
- If you are not a current shareholder and would like to enroll in the Plan, you may either:
Print or read the Plan Prospectus from the web site, print and read the Initial Enrollment Form. Complete the Enrollment Form and return it by mail to BNY Mellon Shareowner Services. Enclose a check or money order, payable to BNY Mellon Shareowner Services in U.S. dollars, for your initial investment of at least $500, plus an initial enrollment fee of $10.

When will I receive a statement about my account?
|

A statement will be provided at least every quarter and as soon as practicable after each transaction. The statement will show all transactions and all account activity for the year to date.
